Nina Queissner
Née
en 1990 à Darmstadt (Allemagne).
Elle a fait des études de sciences humaines à Francfort sur-le-Main dont un an à Montpellier où un stage auprès de la radio non-commerciale l'Eko des Garrigues l'amène à entamer des études artistiques.
Elle passera deux ans à l’école supérieure d’art Annecy Alpes et obtient son diplôme avec les félicitations du Jury à l'Ensa Bourges en 2019. Durant ses études, elle approfondit les techniques et les philosophies du medium son en effectuant également de nombreux stages professionnels. Elle s'intéresse tout autant à la musique et apprend la percussion ainsi que la musique électroacoustique au conservatoire. Elle intégrera ensuite parallèlement deux programmes post-diplôme : à Gand en Belgique (European Post-Graduate in Arts in Sound) et à l'Ensa Bourges (Arts et Créations Sonores).
Actuellement Nina s'intéresse à la technique du Field Recording. Cette pratique lui permet d'interroger les problématiques liées à l’expérience esthétique du paysage sonore à travers le son cinématographique, la performance et la photographie.

A former quarry in central Germany. With the help of massive Explosives, rock has been excavated in industrial scale, leaving an opening into a lost world. A section into earth history. A window into ‘deep time’ long before the evolution of higher life forms on earth: the layers of rock are billions of years old, risen from the depth of the earth mantle. A crater created by human impact. After the abandonment of the quarry, it has been recolonised. The open cliffs and inaccessibility to humans attract falcon, bats, and the rare eagle owl. Plants arrive from close by and from far across the world and reclaim the ground, compete for it, and establish a new kind of equilibrium. The young water body establishes populations of plants, fish, and other animals. It is a reclamation through the air, carried in by waterfowl, as no connection to other water bodies exists. A novel ecosystem emerges in the hole left by industrial activity. The past and future meet in this place, in this moment.
With the participation of Florian Dirk Schneider : born in Darmstadt in 1981, is a theoretical ecologist and environmental scientist. Since 2016 he has been involved in art collaborations and creates own photographic and conceptual art.
